Thursday, November 08, 2007 A list of contractors certified by the Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet to cleanup methamphetamine labs is now available from the Division of Waste Management.

Friday, November 02, 2007 Environmental remediation work to reclaim the old Perry County Landfill is complete.

Tuesday, August 14, 2007 Bullitt and Oldham county residents will have a chance to get rid of unwanted scrap tires during tire amnesty days, Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 16-18.
- WASTE TIRE AMNESTY SET FOR BOYD COUNTY
Tuesday, May 15, 2007 Area residents can drop off unwanted tires from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, May 17-19, at the state Department of Highways garage, 2.5 miles west of Ashland on U.S. 60.

Tuesday, May 15, 2007 A free mercury collection program for residents of Calloway, Graves and Marshall counties will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (CDT) on Saturday, May 19, in Murray.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007 Area residents can drop off their unwanted tires from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 26-28 at the Elliott County garage, two miles west of Sandy Hook on Kentucky Route 7.

Wednesday, April 18, 2007 Stan Cave, chief of staff to Governor Ernie Fletcher, and Teresa J. Hill, secretary of the Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet (EPPC), announced recipients of crumb rubber grants totaling $1.2 million on Monday, April 16.

Tuesday, March 27, 2007 The former solid waste coordinator for Clay County has been indicted for allegedly misusing information that was the basis for bids submitted to the state for cleaning up illegal dumps in his county.

Thursday, November 16, 2006 Northern Kentucky residents, businesses and institutions can bring mercury and mercury-containing equipment to the main office of Sanitation District No. 1, 1045 Eaton Drive, Fort Wright, on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST.

Thursday, October 12, 2006 Amendments to underground storage tank (UST) regulations have been approved by the Legislative Research Commission. The Kentucky Division of Waste Management is holding seminars Oct. 30 and 31 in Frankfort.
