Governor Beshear Appoints Member to State Plumbing Code Committee

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed Thomas E. Lett to serve as a member of the State Plumbing Code Committee. He represents the American Institute of Architects.

Lett is an architect at Thomas Lett, P.S.C. in Lexington. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky. The appointment replaces John Dwight Stratton, whose term has expired. Lett shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 31, 2010.

The State Plumbing Code Committee consists of seven gubernatorial appointees. The committee is responsible for regulating the licensing and conduct of plumbers and for setting plumbing regulations within the commonwealth. The committee is attached to the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction for administrative purposes.
