Governor Beshear Appoints Members to Kentucky Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
FRANKFORT, KY – Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed Heather Johnson to serve as a member of the Kentucky Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Johnson, of Campton, is a speech-language pathologist for the Lee County School System in Beattyville. She represents speech-language pathologists. The appointment replaces Alice Marie Inman, whose term has expired. Johnson shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2010.
The governor has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology:
- Bettyruth Bruington, of Brandenburg, is a retired teacher from the Meade County School System. She represents citizens at large. Bruington shall serve for a term expiring March 6, 2010.
- Kevin T. Kavanagh, of Somerset, is an associate clinical professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Kentucky. He represents otolaryngologists. Kavanagh shall serve for a term expiring March 6, 2010.
- Victoria Callihan Graff, of Lexington, is a private practicing audiologist at Audiologists and Hearing Aid Specialists of Kentucky. She represents audiologists. Graff shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2010.
- Angela M. Morris, of Corbin, is a private practicing audiologist at Southeast Kentucky Audiology. She represents audiologists. Morris shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2010.
- Kellie C. Ellis, of Harlan, is a speech-language pathologist for the Harlan County School System. She represents speech-language pathologists. Ellis shall serve for a term expiring March 6, 2011.
- Bridget W. Stanfield, of Harrodsburg, is a program consultant for the Kentucky Department of Education. She represents speech-language pathologists. Stanfield shall serve for a term expiring March 6, 2011.
The Kentucky Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology consists of eight gubernatorial appointees. The board regulates the licensing for speech and language pathologists and audiologists and ensures that licensed practitioners perform according to the board’s codes of conduct.
