Governor Beshear makes appointments to Boards and Commissions
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to the Kentucky boards and commissions:
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Commission on Human Rights to serve for terms expiring Sept. 12, 2011.
- Samuel R. Coleman Jr., of Middlesboro, is the director of Small Business Development Center of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College. He represents the state at large. The appointment replaces Henry L. Blythe, whose term has expired.
- Virginia L. Burton, of Lexington, is a school substitute for the Fayette County School District. She represents the state at large. The appointment replaces William H. Turner, whose term has expired.
- George W. Stinson, of Louisville, is a realtor at SLS Management. He represents the Fourth Supreme Court District. The appointment replaces Betty J. Dobson, whose term has expired.
- Timothy W. Thomas, of Madisonville, is an employee at Brooks Haven Memorial Funeral Home. He represents the First Supreme Court District. The appointment replaces Thurmond Coleman Sr., whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Wade M. Lindon as a member of the Hazard Community and Technical College Nominating Commission.
- Wade M. Lindon, of Hazard, is the administrator of Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center. The appointment replaces Renee H. Muncy, who has resigned. Lindon shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 15, 2009.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2013. This order is effective Jan. 2, 2009.
- Joel C. Thornbury, of Pikeville, is a pharmacist at Levisa Pharmacies. The appointment replaces Patricia H. Thornbury, whose term has expired.
- Larry A. Hadley, of Frankfort, is the co-owner of Wayne’s Pharmacy. The appointment replaces Peter J. Orzali, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Electrical Advisory Committee to serve for terms expiring July 15, 2012.
- Jim E. Strange, of Louisville, is an electrical contractor for Advanced Electrical Systems. He represents electrical contractors. The appointment replaces Tim S. Parsons, whose term has expired.
- Amanda E. Stacy, of Lexington, is the senior engineer of Substation Design for East Kentucky Power Cooperative. She represents licensed professional electrical engineers. The appointment replaces Jonathan J. Moore, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Jamie Daniel as a member of the Board of Nursing.
- Jamie Daniel, of Hustonville, is a licensed practical nurse for the Golden Living Center. He represents licensed practical nurses. The appointment replaces Gerald L. Dick, who has resigned. Daniel shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 30, 2011.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Mike Breen as a member of the Kentucky State Corrections Commission.
- Mike Breen, of Bowling Green, is an attorney at Breen and Morgan, Attorneys-at- Law. He represents practicing attorneys. The appointment replaces Robert B. Coffman, who has resigned. Breen shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Feb. 17, 2011.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Annette C. Lovins as Property Valuation Administrator for Robertson County.
- Annette C. Lovins, of Mount Olivet, is the program supervisor for the 18th Judicial Circuit Drug Court. Lovins shall serve until the general election on Nov. 4, 2008.
