Governor Beshear makes appointments to Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Gov. Beshear has appointed Michael L. Kinder as city councilperson for the city of Coldstream.

  • Michael L. Kinder, of Louisville, is the shipping supervisor for National Tobacco. Kinder shall serve until the general election on Nov. 2, 2010.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Susan Marie Streible as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 46th Judicial Circuit of Kentucky.

  • Susan Marie Streible, of Vine Grove, is the first assistant commonwealth’s attorney for the 46th Judicial Circuit of Kentucky. The appointment replaces Kenton R. Smith, who has resigned. Streible shall serve until the general election on Nov. 2, 2010.

Gov. Beshear has designated Carolyn M. Ridley chair of the Tourism Development Finance Authority.

  • Carolyn M. Ridley, of Bowling Green, is the vice president of Regulatory Affairs for TW Telecom, Inc. The appointment replaces William E. Jasper, whose term has expired

Gov. Beshear has appointed William G. Finn as a member of the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Funding Commission Board of Directors.

  • William G. Finn, of Louisville, is the business manager and financial secretary for IBEW Local 369. He represents labor. The appointment replaces Kevin G. Sell, whose term has expired. Finn shall serve for a term expiring Nov. 18, 2012.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Michael Ray Seibert to the Kentucky State Board of Chiropractic Examiners to serve for a term expiring Oct. 6, 2011.

  • Michael Ray Seibert, of Manitou, is a chiropractor in private practice. The appointment replaces Carol Ann Ward, whose term has expired.

The governor has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for term expiring Oct. 6, 2011.

  • Mark Woodward, of Bowling Green, is a chiropractor in private practice.
     
  • Frank G. Hideg, of Paducah, is a chiropractor in private practice.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Henry Clay Owen as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Kentucky Retirement Systems.

  • Henry Clay Owen, of Paris, is the retired treasurer for the University of Kentucky. He represents members at large. The appointment replaces Gayle B. McGrath, who has resigned. Owen shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending March 31, 2012.
