RICHMOND, Ky. – White Hall State Historic Site will host “Pops at the Park” with the Eastern Kentucky University Symphony Orchestra and the Johnson Brothers on Aug. 24.


Advance blanket tickets are $10 a person and $15 (cash) at the gate. A table for six is $150 and a table for eight is $200. Children 12 and under are free in the blanket area only.


This year’s theme is “Under the Big Top,” and performers from the Cincinnati Circus will be on hand. There will also be prizes for table decorations. Gates open at 5 p.m., table judging starts at 6 p.m., and the entertainment starts at 8 p.m.

White Hall served as the home of Cassius Marcellus Clay, an emancipationist who was a friend of Abraham Lincoln’s and served as his ambassador to Russia. The home near Richmond was built in 1798-99 and was renovated in the mid-1860s. White Hall is located off I-75 at exit 95.
