Reecie Stagnolia, vice president for Kentucky Adult Education, will participate in a Congressional briefing on adult education this afternoon in Washington, D.C. Stagnolia is one of seven panelists and is the only representative of a state system.

Stagnolia was selected to participate in the briefing, sponsored by the Council for Advancement of Adult Literacy (CAAL), as a result of Kentucky’s leadership in national policy development.

Other panelists include: Gail Spangenberg, president, CAAL; Irwin Kirsch, director, Center for Global Assessment, Educational Testing Service; James Parker, senior research/policy associate, CAAL; Margie McHugh, director, National Center on Immigrant Integration Policy, Migration Policy Institute; and Marcie Foster, senior policy analyst, Center for Postsecondary and Economic Success.
