DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. – Run through the Forest is a 5K road race that will take place on paved roads within Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park on Sept. 21 as part of the Western Kentucky Race Series.
If running is not your thing, then take part in our 5K “Get Fit” Fun Walk! Each preregistered participant will receive a goodie bag and a T-shirt. Top male and female competitors will be awarded trophies, with trophies as well for first place in 13 age categories. Medals will be awarded to 2nd place in each age category. Participants will also have a chance to win door prizes. The race begins at 7:30 a.m.
Race fees are as follows: Preregistration by Sept. 12; $20 run/$15 walk
After Sept. 12; $25 run/$20 walk

Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park is 20 miles northwest of Hopkinsville, on KY 109 N. From Interstate 69, exit at Dawson Springs and take KY 109 south.
