The Council on Postsecondary Education will sponsor the Kentucky Student Success Summit on April 7-8 at the Louisville Marriott East.
The summit, targeted toward higher education faculty, staff, and administrators, will focus on the issues related to academic success for all of Kentucky’s students, especially for underrepresented minorities, low-income students and underprepared students.
The agenda includes presentations by the following nationally known speakers:
- Kati Haycock, president of The Education Trust.
- Deborah Santiago, chief operating officer and vice president for policy and research at Excelencia for Education.
- Sandra Gregerman, director of the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program at the University of Michigan and former chair of the Council on Undergraduate Research.
- Blane Harding, director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Kansas and co-author of the National Academic Advising Association’s publication, “Cultivating Potential in At-Risk Students.”
