OLIVE HILL, Ky. – Steve Kennedy is the new park manager at Grayson Lake State Park, Commissioner Elaine Walker announced today.


Kennedy previously served as the park’s golf professional since 2009.


He worked as a golf professional at Beckett Ridge Country Club in West Chester, Ohio, at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio, and at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati before joining Kentucky State Parks. While Kennedy was at NCR Country Club, the course hosted the 1998 U. S. Men's Mid-Amateur Championship and the 2005 U. S. Senior Open Championship.


Grayson Lake State Park is the home of Hidden Cove Golf Course. The park also has a campground, boat ramp and marina, hiking trail, and picnic area. The park is a few miles south of Grayson on KY 7 off Interstate 64 at Exit 172.





The Kentucky State Park System is composed of 49 state parks plus an interstate park shared with Virginia. The Department of Parks, an agency of the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, operates 17 resort parks with lodges -- more than any other state.
