ALEXANDRIA, Ky. – If you’re looking for a different type of outdoor adventure, Earthjoy Tree Climbing Adventures can give you a lift.
Earthjoy Tree Climbing Adventures is a unique adventure service operating in northern Kentucky, offering both guided climbs and training.
Guided climbs are offered every weekend in March and April, but climbers should call or register online to guarantee availability. Other packages include couple’s climbs, team building exercises and beginner climbing and trimming instruction.
This spring, Earthjoy is introducing two new programs for climbers. The first is the exTREEmist climbing package available to people who have climbed previously with Earthjoy.
This is a multi-day, multi-tree program for a high-adrenaline rush. It includes a sunrise climb, full moon climb, enchanted forest climb and a playful Casper climb. Earthjoy is offering climbing dates, and those purchasing this package will get to choose four. Each climb is 2 hours and will cover more advanced climbing techniques. Cost for this package is $189. The dates are:
March 16: 1–3 p.m.
April 11: 6-8 p.m.
May 10: 1-3 p.m.
July 12: 7-9 p.m.
July 13: 10 a.m.-Noon
Sept. 6: 2-4 p.m.
Earthjoy’s second new program is geared towards women looking for some fun and good exercise. The Woman’s Warrior Adventure Program is designed to improve physical and mental health.
The Woman’s Warrior Adventure Program is a series of seven classes starting Saturday, May 3 and meeting every other Saturday through July 5. All classes begin at 1 p.m. and last until 4:30 p.m. Some of the things participants will learn include climbing techniques, tree climbing shouts, knot tying and how to identify good climbing trees and potential tree dangers.
This program is limited to 10 women. Those interested should contact Shelly Byrne at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 859-635-0320.
