Gov. Bevin Makes Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 16, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:

John Anthony Mocker, Jr. has been appointed to the Tourism Development Finance Authority.

  • John Anthony Mocker, Jr., of Union, is vice president and partner of LB Industries, a major processor and distributor of steel pipe serving national and international markets. Mocker shall serve for a term expiring April 21, 2020.

The Tourism Development Finance Authority consists of nine gubernatorial appointees. The Authority makes and conditions loans from the Tourism Development Loan Program.

Don Richard Doty has been appointed to the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council.

  • Don Richard Doty, of Glasgow, is mayor of the city of Glasgow. Doty will represent mayors. He shall serve for a term expiring July 1, 2019.

The Kentucky Law Enforcement Council is a 23-member body, 12 of whom are gubernatorial appointees. The Council governs training for all of the state’s law enforcement. It looks for ways to increase the quality of law enforcement by improving the curriculum used to train law enforcement officials and monitoring the abilities of the instructors who teach the required curriculum.
