FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 22, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin today appointed Rhonda Copley, of Ashland, as Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 32nd Judicial Circuit of Kentucky.
Copley has practiced law for 26 years, with experience in family, criminal, foster parent/private adoptions, probate, and appellate cases—including the Kentucky Supreme Court.
“I am honored that Gov. Bevin has selected me to serve my community as Commonwealth’s Attorney for Boyd County,” said Copley.
Copley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Centre College and graduated cum laude from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Boyd County Bar Association, and the Kentucky IOLTA Board of Trustees.
Copley will serve until the position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2018 midterm election, pursuant to the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.
