Gov. Bevin Appoints Todd Stewart Jones to the Office of District Judge of Kentucky’s 2nd Judicial District, Division 1

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 21, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin today appointed Todd Stewart Jones, of Paducah, as District Court Judge of the 2nd Judicial District, Division 1.  

“I am greatly honored by this appointment, and I sincerely thank Gov. Bevin, his administration, and the Judicial Nominating Commission for this opportunity,” said Jones. “I look forward to serving the citizens of McCracken County as judge.”

For the past eight years, Jones has served as Assistant County Attorney in McCracken County. Prior to serving as a prosecutor, he spent four years as a trial attorney for the Department of Public Advocacy in Paducah.  

Jones is a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and University of Kentucky’s School of Business where he received a Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, with a double major in accounting and marketing, He obtained a law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University before returning to Paducah to begin his legal career in public service.
