Peruse Lakeside Festival Featuring Kentucky Artists

CALVERT CITY, Ky. (May 14, 2018) – Visit with dozens of talented artisans as you enjoy the scenic view of Kentucky Lake. A wide range of artists, from woodcarvers to quilters, will be on hand for the annual Arts and Crafts Festival May 26-27 at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park.

Jewelry-makers, potters, blacksmiths, painters and many other craft people will also be showing off their skills.

A new addition to the experience this year is a Chautauqua program sponsored by the Kentucky Humanities Council featuring Rachel Lee Rogers as Jean Ritchie, who became famous playing the dulcimer.

The free festival takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the "Old Beach" near the Conference Center and food concessions will be available for purchase.

Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park has a lodge, cottages, restaurant, marina, golf course and other recreational activities. The park is also one of the nine stops on the Kentucky State Park Culinary Trail.
