The General Inspection Section inspects existing buildings within Kentucky.

The Division of Fire Prevention, Office of State Fire Marshal, enforces various codes to ensure that all public structures, facilities, and regulated vehicles are maintained in such a manner that all occupants and users of these facilities will be protected from fire, explosion, or other similar hazard.
