Cities & Counties
View websites and maps of many of Kentucky's cities and counties, along with a statewide overview.

Governor's Office for Local Development
The online resource for information on grants and loans, financial management for local governments and community development projects. The Governor's Office for Local Development, or GOLD, provides financial help in the way of grant and loan assistance, as well as advising local governments in matters of budget, personnel and other items relevant to those entities.

Kentucky Association of Counties
The Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo), formed in 1974 by elected local government officials, is a non-profit, non-partisan association. KACo serves all 120 counties of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As a service organization, KACo is dedicated to providing assistance to its members and political subdivisions to improve county government.

Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts
The Area Development Districts, as they now exist, serve as forums, clearinghouses, technical centers and as conveners for the region.  Unlike many other organizations structured along multi-jurisdictional lines, the ADDs have both federal and state statutory authority.

Kentucky County Clerks
The Kentucky State Board of Elections provides an online list of county clerks including address, phone numbers and email.

Kentucky Circuit Court
The circuit court clerks prepare bonds and approve sureties thereon; administer oaths and affidavits; maintain records, files and dockets; collect fees, fines and bond money; and pay jurors, commissioners and witnesses. They also issue driver licenses, summons jurors and operate tape recording equipment. 

Kentucky Department of Revenue
The Department of Revenue's interactive map directs you to each of Kentucky's 120 counties. You will find address, phone, fax, email & website information on each county's PVA, sheriff, clerk, attorney and judge executive.

Kentucky District Court
The district court has limited jurisdiction, which means it hears only certain types of cases. Ninety percent of all Kentuckians involved in court proceedings appear in district court. For example, juvenile matters, city and county ordinances, misdemeanors, traffic offenses, probate of wills, felony preliminary hearings, and civil cases involving $4,000 or less are heard in district court. There are 116 district judges in 60 judicial districts in Kentucky.

Kentucky League of Cities
The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) is a voluntary association of cities created in 1927 to assist municipal officials in representing the interests of cities and to provide services to members which will foster improved municipal government in Kentucky. The league provides a comprehensive service program to members which assists city officials in carrying out the important and challenging task of local governance.

Secretary of State Kentucky Land Office 
The Kentucky city and counties online records provides a searchable database of cities' incorporation dates, classification status and boundary information. The database includes information from 1942 to 1980 filings as a matter of historical interest.
