FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 8, 2019) – Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:
Stephanie Danette Ives has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky Center for School Safety Board of Directors.
- Stephanie Danette Ives, of Benton, is a teacher. She will represent the Kentucky Education Association and serve for a term expiring March 11, 2023.
The Kentucky Center for School Safety works to create safe, secure learning environments in the Commonwealth's schools. It is the center for data analysis, research, allocation of information about successful school safety programs, research results and new programs.
Richard Allan Allday and Erick Mark Dubuque have been appointed as members of the Kentucky Applied Behavior Analysis Licensing Board.
- Richard Allan Allday, of Lexington, is a professor. He will represent behavior analysts and serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2022; and
- Erick Mark Dubuque, of Louisville, is an assistant professor. He will represent behavior analysts and serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2022.
The Kentucky Applied Behavior Analysis Licensing Board controls and regulates the licensing and conduct of Applied Behavior Analysts within the Commonwealth.
Gregory Clay Cornett, Gregory Alan Yankey, Ron D. Gilkerson and Stephen Bradley Sullivan have been appointed as members of the Kentucky Geological Survey Advisory Board.
- Gregory Clay Cornett, of Morehead, is a geologist and business owner. He will serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2022; and
- Gregory Alan Yankey, of Lexington, is an engineer. He will serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2022; and
- Ron D. Gilkerson, of Nicholasville, is an engineer. He will serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2022; and;
- Stephen Bradley Sullivan, of Louisville, is retired. He will serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2022.
The Kentucky Geological Survey Advisory Board is charged with increasing the knowledge and understanding of the mineral, energy, and water resources, geological hazards and geology of Kentucky for the benefit of the Commonwealth and Nation. The Board also conducts research, collects data, and serves as the State’s official archive for data on petroleum, coal, minerals, ground water, and topographic and geologic maps.
Jeffrey K. Jones, Dana M. Baker and Matthew Ross have been appointed as members of the Kentucky Technical Education Personnel Board.
- Jeffrey K. Jones, of Dixon, is an instructor. He will represent Area Technology Centers and serve for a term expiring June 30, 2023; and
- Dana M. Baker, of Fredonia, is a business educator. She will represent Area Technology Centers and serve for a term expiring June 30, 2023; and
- Matthew T. Ross, of Frankfort, is a policy advisor. He will represent the Department of Education and serve for a term expiring June 30, 2023.
The Kentucky Technical Education Personnel Board conducts personnel appeals from certified and equivalent employees in the Office of Career and Technical Education.
Garren Colvin has been appointed as a member of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky Board of Directors.
- Garren Colvin, of Villa Hills, is a president and CEO. He will represent members at-large and serve for a term expiring May 15, 2022.
The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky Board of Directors advances and upholds the Foundation’s charitable mission of addressing unmet health care needs of Kentuckians and is responsible for the financial, program and policy affairs of the Foundation.
Olivia D. Johnson Scholz has been appointed as a member of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Board of Directors.
- Olivia D. Johnson Scholz, of Lexington, is a small business president and owner. She will serve for a term expiring Oct. 15, 2025.
The Bluegrass Community and Technical College Board of Directors adopts and implements an annual budget, approves requests and evaluates the functions of the school and the school’s staff.
Gerald Thomas Cole has been appointed as a member of the Geographic Information Advisory Council.
- Gerald Thomas Cole, of Elizabethtown, is an administrator. He will represent the Kentucky League of Cities and serve for a term expiring Sept. 22, 2021.
The Geographic Information Advisory Council advises the executive director of the Commonwealth Office of Technology on issues relating to geographic information and geographic information.
Joseph D. Crabtree and Billy Ray Coursey have been appointed as members of the Water Transportation Advisory Board.
- Joseph D. Crabtree, of Versailles, is a director. He will represent Kentuckians for Better Transportation and serve for a term expiring Sept. 30, 2022; and
- Billy Ray Coursey, of Eddyville, is a professional licensed investigator. He will represent public riverports and serve for a term expiring Sept. 30, 2022.
The Water Transportation Advisory Board advises the executive and legislative branches of government on matters pertaining to water transportation. The Board also promotes economic growth of the waterways and riverports, establishes guidelines and protocol for riverport maintenance, improvements, grant approval and all matters regarding Kentucky waterways and riverports.
Brian Douglas Ahart has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky Wireless Interoperability Executive Committee.
- Brian Douglas Ahart, of Gracey, is a city clerk and treasurer. He will represent the Kentucky League of Cities and serve for a term expiring July 22, 2021.
The Kentucky Wireless Interoperability Executive Committee advises and makes recommendations regarding strategic wireless initiatives to achieve public safety voice and data communications interoperability.
Todd Robert Cote and Michelle Jarboe have been appointed as members of the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council.
- Todd Robert Cote, of Lexington, is a hospice and palliative care physician. He will represent licensed hospice and palliative care physicians and serve for a term expiring June 27, 2022; and
- Michelle Jarboe, of London, is an RN and regional director. She will represent the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities and serve for a term expiring June 27, 2022.
The Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council is charged with improving the quality and delivery of patient and family centered care throughout the Commonwealth and advising the cabinet on matters related to the establishment, maintenance, operation and outcomes evaluation of palliative care initiatives.
Lacy Anne Sisk has been appointed as a member of the Consumers’ Advisory Council.
- Lacy Anne Sisk, of Lexington, is a marketing specialist. She will serve for a term expiring Sept. 8, 2021.
The Consumers’ Advisory Council advises consumers on consumer affairs in Kentucky and publishes an annual report on the state of consumer affairs within the Commonwealth.
