CPE Presidential Search Committee to announce finalists

The Presidential Search Committee of the Council on Postsecondary Education will meet Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. EDT for the purpose of announcing finalists for the position of Council president. The meeting will be held in Conference Room A at the Council offices, located at 1024 Capital Center Drive, Suite 320 in Frankfort. 

Pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(f), the committee will go into closed session to discuss the appointment of personnel. At the conclusion of the closed session, it is anticipated that the finalists will be announced in open session.

The Council launched a national search for its fourth president in July. The meeting tomorrow will be the seventh meeting of the committee, which held its first meeting in May.

The Council on Postsecondary Education is leading efforts to get more Kentuckians more highly educated. By 2030, at least 60 percent of working-age adults in Kentucky will need to have earned a postsecondary education degree or credential to meet expected workforce demands.
