CPE to interview finalists for president

The Council on Postsecondary Education will meet at 10 a.m. ET Thursday, Oct. 25 to interview the finalists for Council president.

Last week, the Council’s presidential search committee announced three finalists:

  • Dr. Robert Donley--retired executive director and chief executive officer for the Board of Regents, State University System of Iowa.
  • Dr. Emily House--chief policy and strategy officer for the Tennessee Higher Education Commission and the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation.
  • Dr. Aaron Thompson--executive vice president and chief academic officer for the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.

Pursuant to KRS 61.810(1) (f), the Council will go into closed session to interview candidates and discuss the appointment of personnel. A decision in open session is planned that evening.

The Council on Postsecondary Education is leading efforts to get more Kentuckians more highly educated. By 2030, at least 60 percent of working-age adults in Kentucky will need to have earned a postsecondary education degree or credential to meet expected workforce demands.
