FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 16, 2025) – Attorney General Russell Coleman announced today that action from the Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit resulted in the indictment of a Western Kentucky city payroll clerk on 15 felony charges related to her employment.
A Christian County Grand Jury indicted Hailey Bamford, 38, for Abuse of Public Trust less than $10,000 (Class D Felony) and 14 counts of Tampering with Public Records (Class D Felony). According to the indictment, from May 2022 to October 2023, Bamford falsified her time in the accounting system for the city of Oak Grove.
Bamford was arrested and a bond has been set at $15,000.
The Kentucky State Police investigated the case. Assistant Attorney General Barbara Whaley presented the case to the Grand Jury on behalf of the Commonwealth.
