Gov. Beshear Makes Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Dec. 10, 2021) – Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Gov. Beshear has appointed the Honorable Denotra Spruill-Gunther as District Judge, Division 1, for the 22nd Judicial District of Kentucky.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the Honorable Jeffrey Taylor as Circuit Judge, Division 7, for the 22nd Judicial Circuit of Kentucky.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Judy Gliessner as a City Commissioner for the City of Sycamore, Kentucky.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Elizabeth McCoy and Lindy Karns as members of the Kentucky Economic Development Partnership.

  • Elizabeth McCoy of Georgetown is president and CEO of Planters Bank Inc. and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2025.
  • Lindy Karns of Lexington is a certified public accountant at Blue & Co. and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2025.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Mike Robison as a member of the Tourism Development Finance Authority.

  • Mike Robison of Shepherdsville is a construction contractor at Michael W Robison Construction. He replaces Bryan Gatewood, who has resigned, and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 31, 2024.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Dallas Kratzer, Jennifer Maggard and Kenneth Staley as members of the Kentucky Military Family Assistance Trust Fund Board.

  • Dallas Kratzer of Lawrenceburg is a grant program manager at the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs. He replaces Kathryn Pfeifer, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 5, 2025.  
  • Jennifer Maggard of Versailles is a human resources specialist at the Kentucky Army National Guard. She replaces Michael Currie, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 5, 2025.
  • Kenneth Staley of Lexington is a facility manager at the Kentucky Army National Guard. He replaces Sharif Abdrabbo, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 5, 2025.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Dr. Lara Fakunle as a member of the Kentucky Board of Licensed Diabetes Educators.

  • Dr. Lara Fakunle of Louisville is a physician at the University of Louisville Hospital. She replaces Kristen Stakelin, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Nov. 3, 2025.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Dr. Karen Ogle as a member of the State Board of Physical Therapy.

  • Dr. Karen Ogle of Georgetown is the director of rehab services at Baptist Health Lexington. She replaces Edward Dobrzykowski, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 3, 2025.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Nancy Grayson as a member of the Endow Kentucky Commission.

  • Nancy of Grayson of Walton is president of Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky and shall serve for a term expiring Sep. 30, 2023.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Robin Boughey as a member of the Kentucky Commission on Proprietary Education.

  • Robin Boughey of Louisville is executive director of MedQuest College. She replaces Gerria Berryman, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring July 21, 2025.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Beth Williams as a member of the Agriculture Water Quality Authority. He has reappointed Paulette Akers.

  • Beth Williams of Rogers is a forest ranger technician at the Kentucky Division of Forestry. She replaces Brandon Keith, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2025.
  • Paulette Akers of Versailles is the director of the Kentucky Division of Conservation and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2025.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Charles Taylor as a member of the Kentucky Water Well Certification Board. He has reappointed Danny Kelly.

  • Charles Taylor of Lexington is a ground water hydrologist at the Kentucky Geographical Survey. He replaces Oscar Davidson, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 16, 2024.
  • Danny Kelly of Clinton is a water well driller at Kelly Well Drilling LLC and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 16, 2022.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Matt Linville as a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 30th Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky. He has also reappointed Sam Corbett. This order shall be effective January 1, 2022.

  • Matt Linville of Louisville is owner and CFO of J.Y. Lenger Associates Inc. He replaces Rebecca Swansburg, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2026.
  • Sam Corbett of Louisville is a partner at SAM I AM, LLC and shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2026.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Derek Miles as a member of the Financial Institutions Board.

  • Derek Miles of Louisville is an attorney at Turner, Keal & Button PLLC. He replaces Michelle Penque, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 10, 2025.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Brigit Truex as a member of the Native American Heritage Commission. He has also reappointed Gwynn Henderson, David Pollack, Dwight Cropper and Venus Evans.

  • Brigit Truex of Lexington is retired. She replaces Jordan Simpson, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Sep. 1, 2025.
  • Gwynn Henderson of Bowling Green is an archaeologist at Western Kentucky University and shall serve for a term expiring Sep. 1, 2024.
  • David Pollack of Bowling Green is an archaeologist at Western Kentucky University and shall serve for a term expiring Sep. 1, 2025.
  • Dwight Cropper of South Portsmouth is an archaeologist and shall serve for a term expiring Sep. 1, 2024.
  • Venus Evans of Corbin is a fitness instructor at Corbin Wellness Center and shall serve for a term expiring Sep. 1, 2024.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Jill Seyfred as a member of the Child Support Guidelines Review Commission.

  • Jill Seyfred of Lexington is CEO of Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky.
