FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 3, 2022) – Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Gov. Beshear has appointed William Summers V as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Kentucky Retirement Systems.
- William Summers V of Louisville is a banker at Republic Bank. He replaces Bruce Brown, who was not confirmed by the Senate, and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 17, 2022.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Hans Poppe and John Cox as members of the Kentucky State Fair Board.
- Hans Poppe of Prospect is an attorney at Poppe Law Firm PLLC. He replaces Steve Wilson, who has resigned, and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending May 10, 2024.
- John Cox of Louisville is an attorney at Lynch, Cox, Gilman & Goodman PSC. He replaces Tandy Patrick, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring May 10, 2026.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Jennifer Mossotti as a member of the Kentucky Horse Park Commission. The Governor has also reappointed Mary Quinn Ramer, P.G. Peeples and Alston Kerr.
- Jennifer Mossotti of Lexington is a realtor. She replaces Kristi Stuebs, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring May 24, 2026.
- Mary Quinn Ramer of Lexington is president of VisitLEX and shall serve for a term expiring May 24, 2026.
- P.G. Peeples of Lexington is president and CEO at the Urban League of Lexington and shall serve for a term expiring May 24, 2026.
- Alston Kerr of Lexington is a community volunteer and shall serve for a term expiring May 24, 2026.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Clint Morris as a member of the Governor’s Postsecondary Education Nominating Committee. The Governor has also reappointed Betty Cook.
- Clint Morris of Lexington is a human resources manager at Lexington Habitat for Humanity. He replaces Edwin Orange, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring April 14, 2028.
- Betty Cook of Somerset is retired and shall serve for a term expiring April 14, 2028.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Russell Romine as a member of the Kentucky Public Transportation Infrastructure Authority.
- Russ Romine of Louisville is the executive director of the Kentucky Engineering Center. He replaces Charles Buddeke, who has resigned and whose term subsequently expired, and shall serve for a term expiring May 25, 2026.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Kathleen Colebank as a member of the Sex Offender Risk Assessment Advisory Board.
- Kathleen Colebank of Louisville is a psychologist. She replaces Ida Dickie, who has resigned, and shall serve for the remainder of the term of the Governor’s incumbency.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Amanda Bommer-Villaveces as a member of the Kentucky Board of Licensure of Marriage and Family Therapists.
- Amanda Bommer-Villaveces of Louisville is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She replaces Gary Clark, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring June 1, 2026.
Gov. Beshear has appointed James Middleton as a member of the Forestry Best Management Practices Board. The Governor has also reappointed Jack Stickney.
- James Middleton of Munfordville is a physician at the Family Medical Center of Hart County. He replaces Lyndle Barnes, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring June 1, 2026.
- Jack Stickney of Irvine is a farmer and shall serve for a term expiring April 22, 2026.
