Fort Boonesborough to Offer Fireside Chats During the Month of February

RICHMOND, Ky. – (Jan. 27, 2020) – In collaboration with the Fort Boonesborough Foundation, Fort Boonesborough State Park will host a series of “Fireside Chats” featuring famous characters from Kentucky history.

Beginning on Feb. 8, 2020, Fort Boonesborough State Park will offer a “Taste of Frontier Fare” from 5:30-6:15 p.m. followed by the historical program at 6:45 p.m.

  • Feb. 8, 2020: Daniel Boone, Kentucky explorer and pioneer, portrayed by Kevin Hardesty.
  • Feb. 15, 2020: Col. John Holder, early pioneer, portrayed by David Trimble.
  • Feb. 22, 2020: Daniel Trabue, early Kentucky pioneer who kept a journal of his life, presented by Richard Phelps
  • Feb. 29, 2020: Maggie Delaney, indentured servant, portrayed by Carol Jarboe.

Tickets are $15 for adults, and $5 for children under 12. Due to limited seating, reservations are required. To make a reservation, please call 859-527-3131 to reserve your seat today. All proceeds for the events will go towards the benefit of the Fort Boonesborough Foundation.

Fort Boonesborough is located near Richmond. From Interstate 75, take Exit 95 to KY 627. On I-64, exit at Winchester to KY 627.
