FRANKFORT, Ky. (August 4, 2023) – Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced today that an investigation by his Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control resulted in the indictment of Lynette Kipta, 41, of Henderson.
On August 1, 2023, a Henderson County Grand Jury indicted Kipta for one count of Knowing Exploitation of an Adult over $300 (Class C Felony), fifteen counts of Fraudulent Use of ID Card or Electronic Code for Benefits (Class D Felony), and twelve counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree (Class D Felony).
The case was investigated by the Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control, and Assistant Attorney General Michael E. Brophy presented the case on behalf of the Commonwealth.
The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control receives 75 percent of its funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under a grant award totaling $6,333,333 for Federal fiscal year (FY) 2023. The remaining 25 percent, totaling $1,583,333 for FY 2023, is funded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The charges in the indictment are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
