Jerry Sudduth Promoted to Offender Information Administrator

Kentucky Department of Corrections Offender Information Services Director Amanda Sayle announced today the promotion of Jerry Sudduth to offender information administrator in Central Office. In his new position Sudduth is responsible for overseeing the hiring of all new employees in the branch and updating the Offender Information Services training manual, which has not been revised in 15 years. He is also the liaison with the Division of Personnel for all employees in the branch.

“We are pleased to have Jerry Sudduth back in Offender Information Services,” said Sayle. “His knowledge and ambitious work ethic will be a true asset as he oversees all hiring and training for the branch.”

Sudduth started with the Department of Corrections in Offender Information Services as an offender information specialist I in July 2010. His main duties involved calculating parole time credit of parole violators and managing the parole violator log for the department. In January 2013, Sudduth transferred out of the Department of Corrections to the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation where he gained experience in monitoring federal grants.

After returning in October 2014 as an offender information supervisor, Sudduth provided oversight of the sections responsible for good time calculation and jail management. He stayed in this position until transferring to Parole Board Support Services as a parole board specialist II in June 2017. While there, he supervised the parole board support staff and assisted in completing risk and needs assessments utilized by board members during parole hearings. In September 2018, he returned to Offender Information Services when he was special detailed to the position of offender information administrator.

Sudduth is a veteran of the United States Army and a 2008 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in history with minors in police studies and journalism. He is also a graduate of the 2017-18 Commissioner’s Executive Leadership Program.
