FRANKFORT, Ky. (September 10, 2021)—The Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet (FAC) has launched a new website, replacing an outdated platform with one that is clean, updated and accessible. The web address remains finance.ky.gov.
“Greater transparency has been one of my highest priorities since becoming Secretary and I believe having a fresh, modern and user-friendly website goes a long way in helping achieve that goal,” said Cabinet Secretary Holly M. Johnson. “We want all our online visitors, whether they are other government agencies, the general public, suppliers or contractors looking to do business with the state, to quickly and easily find the information they need.”
Some highlights of the new website include:
- A new vendor information page, which will assist current and potential new suppliers and contractors with guidance and support using the state’s Vendor Self-Service site.
- Links for programs, forms and policies have been added to the main navigation, making them easily accessible from anywhere on the site.
- Department and office pages now feature a side navigation panel that displays pages found within that section, making it easier to jump between associated pages.
- A slideshow of some of the most recognizable attractions on the State Capitol grounds are featured on the new homepage. These include the tulips in bloom and Kentucky’s famous floral clock, which are designed and maintained by employees of the Cabinet.
- The site design also features enhanced flexibility that quickly responds to the size of the user’s browser window, making it easy to view on phones, tablets and computers.
Finance and Administration is the primary support agency for the executive branch of Kentucky state government. The Cabinet serves a diverse customer base of state agencies, local governments, businesses and vendors, as well as individual taxpayers. The Cabinet provides a broad spectrum of services, including:
- State revenue collection and administration
- Statewide fiscal management, including short-term investment and appropriation supported debt management
- State purchasing and contracts for goods and services
- State fleet vehicle management and maintenance
- State mailroom operations, including the collection and delivery of postal and messenger mail
- Risk management services for state properties and resources
- Information technology services for customer agencies
- Facility maintenance and construction management
- State and federal surplus property program management
- Administrative support services for general government agencies.
The Cabinet partnered with NIC Kentucky, also known as Kentucky.gov, on the redesign. It was completed at no cost to the Commonwealth.
