Governor Beshear Makes Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (May 15, 2020) – Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the Honorable Kaelin Goheen Reed to the office of Circuit Judge for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Division 2, of Kentucky.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Peggy Richardson Block as a member of the State Board of Physical Therapy.

  • Peggy Block of Paducah is a professor of physical therapy at West KY Community & Technical College. Ms. Block shall replace Dan Martin, whose term has expired. She shall serve for a term January 1st, 2024.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Joseph E. Ross as a member of the Prosecutors Advisory Council. He has also reappointed Martin L. Hatfield.

  • Joe Ross of Russellville is serving as County Attorney for Logan County. Mr. Ross shall replace Hallye Arterburn.
  • Martin Hatfield of Somerset, has been reappointed to serve another term.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Amanda Bush Matthews and Dr. Brian K. Clardy as members of the Kentucky Oral History Commission.

  • Amanda Matthews of Lexington is artist and the CEO of Prometheus Foundry, LLC. She shall replace Brandon Wilson, whose term has expired. Mrs. Matthews shall serve a term expiring February 15, 2024.
  • Dr. Brian Clardy of Murray is a professor of history at Murray State University. Dr. Clardy shall replace Jordan Smith, whose term has expired. He shall serve a term expiring February 15, 2024.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Dr. Elizabeth Walter McKune as a member of the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology.

  • Dr. Elizabeth McKune of Louisville is a Psychologist and Administrator for Passport Health Plan. Dr. McKune shall represent licensed psychologists. She shall serve a term expiring December 1, 2023.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed David Bryan Sloan as a member of the Mine Safety Review Commission.

  • David Sloan of Ft. Mitchell has been reappointed and shall serve for a term expiring May 23, 2024.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Tracy Lynn McDanel as a member of the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology.

  • Tracy McDanel of Wickliffe is an Instructor of Cosmetology at West KY Community & Technical College. Ms. McDanel shall replace Regina Swanner, who has resigned. She shall serve the remainder of the unexpired term ending February 1, 2021.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Shawn Brent Miller and Janice Faye Napier as members of the Southeast Community and Technical College Nominating Commission.

  • Shawn Miller of Wallins is the owner of Shawn Miller Construction. He shall replace Chris Musgrave whose term has expired. Mr. Miller shall serve a term expiring April 15, 2024.
  • Janice Napier of Evarts is retired. She shall replace Timothy Rice, whose term has expired. Ms. Napier shall serve a term expiring April 15, 2024.
