Kentucky VINE System Back Online

Offender custody notifications have resumed

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb 6, 2026) – The Kentucky Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) system has been restored, and offender custody status changes have resumed for registered users.

All registered users were notified yesterday afternoon via a standard VINE notification that service has been restored. If an offender’s custody status changes, registrants will receive a notification.

On Feb. 3, the Kentucky Department of Corrections was made aware of a vendor-caused issue that resulted in false alerts through the VINE system. Those alerts incorrectly indicated that certain inmates had been released from state custody. That information was false and should be disregarded.

No personal data or information was hacked or compromised. The Department is exploring any and all remedies available under vendor contracts.
