September is Full of Color at the Kentucky Artisan Center

The Kentucky Artisan Center will be full of color as a variety of painting mediums and techniques will be demonstrated by Kentucky artists throughout the month of September. 

Below is a list of demonstrations and events.
Saturday, Sept. 7
•    10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Oil Painting by Carl Von Fischer
Carl Von Fischer, of Mount Vernon, will demonstrate his oil painting techniques on Sept. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Kentucky Artisan Center. Von Fischer paints a variety of animals in their native habitats.

Saturday, Sept. 14
•    10:30 a.m. to 3:30
Acrylic Painting Demonstrated by Shirley Jeter
Artist Shirley Jeter, of Lexington, will demonstrate acrylic painting from 10:30 to 3:30 at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea. Jeter’s love of color is evident in both her acrylic and watercolor paintings and her work is regularly available at the Center.

Saturday, Sept. 21, 
•    10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Demonstration from the Berea Welcome Center Carvers
Two members of the Berea Welcome Center Carvers will demonstrate their individual woodcarving techniques from 10:30 to 3:30 on Sept. 21. These Central-Kentucky artisans demonstrate on the third Saturday of every month at the Kentucky Artisan Center.

Saturday, Sept. 28
•    10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Bill Berryman Demonstrates Watercolors
On Saturday, Sept. 28, Bill Berryman, of Winchester, KY, will demonstrate watercolor painting from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Center. Berryman specializes in scenes from Shakertown at Pleasant Hill.

The Kentucky Artisan Center is located just off I-75 at Berea Exit 77. The Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and offers traveler services, shopping, exhibits and Saturday artist demonstrations. The Artisan Café & Grill is open for breakfast and lunch from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
