Treasurer Metcalf Names Jordyn Pennington Director of STABLE Kentucky

FRANKFORT, Ky (September 2, 2025) - Kentucky State Treasurer Mark H. Metcalf announces the appointment of Jordyn Pennington as the new Director of STABLE Kentucky, the state’s ABLE savings program for individuals with disabilities.

“STABLE Kentucky is a vital program that empowers Kentuckians with disabilities to save, invest, and build financial security without jeopardizing essential benefits,” said Treasurer Metcalf. “Jordyn brings energy, experience, and a deep commitment to service. I am confident that under her leadership, STABLE Kentucky will continue to grow and reach more families across our Commonwealth.”

Pennington, a Rockcastle County native, currently serves as Deputy Communications Director at the Treasury. She is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and has professional experience in government, communications, and public service roles at local, state and federal levels.

“I am honored to serve as Director of STABLE Kentucky and to help expand access to this program for individuals with disabilities and their families,” Pennington said. “This initiative provides life-changing financial tools, and I look forward to continuing the important work of empowering Kentuckians to achieve greater independence and opportunity.”

STABLE Kentucky, launched in 2016, allows eligible Kentuckians with disabilities to save and invest for qualified expenses without losing eligibility for Medicaid, SSI, and other important benefits. The program covers expenses such as education, housing, transportation, and health care.
