Public Hearing Set Feb. 27 For Grant at Carter Caves State Resort Park Campground Upgrades

OLIVE HILL, Ky. (Feb. 14, 2019) – The Kentucky State Parks will hold a public hearing Feb. 27 for a grant to help make campground improvements at Carter Caves State Resort Park.

The hearing will be at 6 p.m. EST at Carter Caves State Resort Park, 344 Caveland Drive, Olive Hill, as part of the Kentucky Department of Parks Land and Water Conservation Fund grant process.

The hearing, held under the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 (Public Law 88-578), is to receive public input for the proposal. If funded, the selected upgraded campsites are located at Carter Caves State Resort Park campground and include sewer, water and electric improvements.

The hearing is open to anyone interested in making a comment on the proposed project. It will be held in the Olive Hill Room at the Lewis Caveland Lodge.
