FALLS OF ROUGH, Ky. (October 31, 2022) - Rough River Dam State Resort Park will celebrate the 60th anniversary of its lodge during the weekend of November 4-6.
To commemorate the 1962 opening of the lodge, the park will hold a private reception and ceremony on Friday, Nov. 4, beginning at 1:45 p.m. and concluding at 4:00 p.m. CDT. Featured speakers include Tourism Arts and Heritage Cabinet Secretary Mike Berry, Kentucky State Parks Commissioner Russ Meyer, and a virtual congratulatory message from Governor Andy Beshear and First Lady Britainy Beshear.
On Friday afternoon, the park will kick off its annual Holiday Craft Show, a weekend-long public event featuring the work of regional artisans and craftspeople that will run through Sunday, November 6. Rough River also has a special lodge room rate of $60 per night (Sunday through Thursday) during November and December.
Rough River Dam State Resort Park offers a variety of outdoor recreation activities and lodging experiences that visitors can enjoy. Located in Falls of Rough, the park has a lodge with 40 rooms, 17 two-bedroom cottages, a lakeside restaurant, fishing, hiking trails, boating, mini-golf, a gift shop, an airfield and much more.
