Lexington, Ky. (August 22, 2023) – Food trucks, local arts and crafts vendors and talented Kentucky artists will return to the Waveland State Historic Site in Lexington for the annual Waveland Art Fair Sept. 9-10.
In addition to meeting artists, fairgoers can browse and purchase their work while enjoying local food and drinks provided by Katie’s Happy Hot Dogs, Rise Up Pizza, West Sixth Brewing, Manuscript Coffee Roastery and Old Kentucky Kettle Corn.
The fair will be open Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children under 12. Tours of Waveland will be closed during the art fair.
Waveland State Historic Site is an antebellum house on the edge of Lexington. Tours are offered Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 1-4 p.m. with the last tour starting at 4 p.m. The site is closed Monday and Tuesday. Admission for tours is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $6 for children (free for children six and under).
