Council on Postsecondary Education sets meetings

The Council on Postsecondary Education will hold meetings Nov. 15-16 at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, 1845 Loop Drive in Bowling Green.

Thursday, Nov. 15

  • 10 a.m. CST – The Council’s Executive Committee will meet in the conference room of Building G. The agenda is available at http://cpe.ky.gov/aboutus/cpemeetings.html.
  • 11:30 a.m. CST – The Council will hold a working lunch in Room 10 of Building F. No formal action will be taken.
  • 1 p.m. CST – The Council will hear annual performance presentations by representatives of the comprehensive universities in the conference room of Building F. The agenda is available at http://cpe.ky.gov/aboutus/cpemeetings.html. No formal action will be taken.
  • 6 p.m. CST – The Council will attend a campus briefing and dinner at the National Corvette Museum, 350 Corvette Drive. No formal action will be taken.

Friday, Nov. 16

  • 8 a.m. CST – The Council will hear annual performance presentations by representatives of the research universities in the conference room of Building F. The agenda is available at http://cpe.ky.gov/aboutus/cpemeetings.html. No formal action will be taken.
  • 10 a.m. CST -- The Council will hold a business meeting in the conference room of Building F. The agenda is available at http://cpe.ky.gov/aboutus/cpemeetings.html.

The Council on Postsecondary Education is leading efforts to get more Kentuckians more highly educated. By 2030, at least 60 percent of working-age adults in Kentucky will need to have earned a postsecondary education degree or credential to meet expected workforce demands.
