CPE president to visit Murray State University

Council on Postsecondary Education President Aaron Thompson continues his statewide listening tour with a visit to Murray State University Feb. 19 and 20.

Thompson will hear from students, educators, and community and business representatives on a range of issues impacting higher education.

The public is invited to attend the community-wide listening session at 5:30-7 p.m. CST in the Wrather Auditorium, Wrather West Kentucky Museum, N. 16th St., Murray. A reception will follow in the Wrather Room.

The next listening session will be March 4 and 5 at Owensboro Community and Technical College.

The Council on Postsecondary Education is leading efforts to get more Kentuckians more highly educated. By 2030, at least 60 percent of working-age adults in Kentucky will need to have earned a postsecondary education degree or credential to meet expected workforce demands.
