Council on Postsecondary Education sets meetings

The Council on Postsecondary Education will hold meetings Jan. 23-24 in the Gatton Student Center of the University of Kentucky, 160 Avenue of Champions in Lexington.

Thursday, Jan. 23

  • 10 a.m. – The Council will hear the annual performance presentations of Kentucky's public comprehensive universities and KCTCS in Grand Ballroom C/Room 212C. A lunch break will be held in Room 330AB at noon. The agenda is available at http://cpe.ky.gov/aboutus/cpemeetings.html.
  • 3:30 p.m. – The Council will attend a campus briefing, followed by a walking tour of the campus. No formal action will be taken.
  • 5 p.m. – The Council will attend a reception and dinner at the Hilary J. Boone Center, 500 Rose Street. No formal action will be taken.

Friday, Jan. 24

The Council on Postsecondary Education is leading efforts to get more Kentuckians more highly educated. By 2030, at least 60 percent of working-age adults in Kentucky will need to have earned a postsecondary education degree or credential to meet expected workforce demands.
