CPE President Aaron Thompson to discuss current state of affairs and offer solutions

Join Council on Postsecondary Education President Aaron Thompson during a webinar next week as he discusses the current state of affairs through an educational lens. Education: A Catalyst for Systematic Equity will be held Wednesday, June 10 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. EDT. This featured webinar continues the Council’s already popular Higher EDquity webinar series designed to provide practical strategies for improving diversity, equity and inclusion on college campuses.

During the webinar, Thompson will provide the historical context for the recent social injustices; discuss the effects of a quality education on the interconnectedness of the educational, criminal justice and healthcare systems; and offer an agenda with solutions for moving Kentucky forward.

The Council on Postsecondary Education is leading efforts to get more Kentuckians more highly educated. By 2030, at least 60% of working-age adults in Kentucky will need to have earned a postsecondary education degree or credential to meet expected workforce demands.
