Study of Kentucky health care workforce is topic of CPE webinar Aug. 21

The Council on Postsecondary Education’s Data, Research and Advanced Analytics team and EMSI labor market analytics firm will host a webinar 1 p.m. ET Aug. 21 to review the findings of a recent health care sector analysis for the state of Kentucky. The analysis projects that Kentucky will create more than 23,000 new jobs in health care by 2029, increasing the already high demand for degrees and other postsecondary credentials in the field.

The presentation will look at the challenges of meeting the demand for nurses and other health care workers in Kentucky, including:

  • Job growth projections
  • Comparing the annual number of job openings and graduates
  • Alumni migration analysis
  • Wages
  • Recommendations for academic preparation programs

Policy and campus partners, as well as business groups, the media and the public, are invited to participate. Participants may ask questions during the webinar by posting in the comment section below the YouTube broadcast.
