Commonwealth Education Continuum to hold virtual meeting Sept. 23

State policy leaders will gather virtually this week for the fourth meeting of the Commonwealth Education Continuum, a statewide effort to help students successfully progress through each level of Kentucky’s education system and into the workforce.

The continuum will prioritize recommendations suggested by the workgroups and consider how members and their respective organizations will identify their roles as active participants in the work.

The meeting will be held via livestream at 1 p.m. ET, Thursday, Sept. 23 on the Council's YouTube Channel.

The agenda is available on the Council's website.

The continuum is co-chaired by President Aaron Thompson, head of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education; Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, secretary of the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet; and Commissioner of Education Jason Glass.

The group’s work focuses on three goals: improving postsecondary transitions, increasing equitable access and success in early postsecondary opportunities, and increasing the diversity of the teacher workforce.
