Commonwealth Education Continuum to hold in-person meeting Sept. 21

State policy and education leaders will convene next week for the quarterly meeting of the Commonwealth Education Continuum (CEC), co-chaired by Council on Postsecondary Education President Aaron Thompson, Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman and Commissioner of Education Jason Glass. The CEC was formed to address the moral imperative of helping more Kentucky students successfully progress through each level of the education system and into the workforce.

The CEC will meet at 9 a.m. ET, Wednesday, Sept. 21 in Conference Rooms A & B at the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, 100 Airport Road, Frankfort. The agenda is available at Commonwealth Education Continuum Meetings, Records - Ky. Council on Postsecondary Education.

During the meeting, members will take stock of CEC recommendations and work group efforts, map current assets and resources, and determine key partners and action steps necessary to accomplish the CEC priorities. Additionally, the CEC members will explore priority topics identified by the CEC work groups related to: (1) 9th grade students on track for postsecondary success; (2) access and attainment in early postsecondary opportunities; and (3) successful first year postsecondary experiences and outcomes.
