Kentucky Advising Academy accepting proposals for mini-grants geared toward supporting workforce readiness and advising

The Kentucky Advising Academy (KAA) is accepting proposals from Kentucky K-12 public schools or area technology centers for mini-grants reimbursable up to $5,000 to support workforce readiness and postsecondary advising.

Proposals must focus on projects that will

Develop or expand student access to postsecondary opportunities through college and career exploration.

Assist in student readiness for college enrollment.

Promote student awareness and utilization of early postsecondary opportunities.

Focus on development of essential skills necessary for college and career.

To qualify, submitting schools must identify a collaborative partner such as a feeder school, postsecondary institution, business, industry or community-based organization to support the initiative. The deadline to submit proposals is Dec. 20. The number of grants awarded will be contingent upon the funds available.

Application materials are online at https://cpe.ky.gov/news/grants/index.html.

CPE will host a webinar on Dec. 6 at 9 a.m. CST/10 a.m. EST to answer questions regarding the application process. The webinar will be recorded for applicants unable to attend.
