The Division of Fiscal Management is responsible for overseeing the Department for Medicaid Services $11.5 billion dollar annual budget. In our division, we build the biennial budget, process account payables, oversee the DSH and EHR Incentive programs, request Federal funds and provide information for Federal Reporting. The Division also processes all account receivables, including the Drug Rebate program which collected nearly $700 million last state fiscal year. We work with various investigative agencies assuring payment suspensions are in place during investigations. Also, with the help from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Fiscal Management is responsible for calculating the Fee Schedules for all Medicaid provider types.
