About
The Kentucky Claims Commission oversees the Crime Victims' Compensation Fund, hears tax appeals and handles negligence claims against the Commonwealth of Kentucky. It also provides an independent, impartial and neutral forum for hearing and resolving disputes on tax issues in a timely, cost-effective alternative to the court system. The Commission acts under the authority of KRS Chapter 49 and KAR Title 108 to determine whether a state agency has been negligent, consequently causing damages, loss or injury to a claimant.
