LUCAS, Ky. – The “River of Stars” astronomy program provided by the Louisville Astronomical Society (LAS) will be held Saturday, June 8, at Barren River Lake State Resort Park at Lucas.
Guests can arrive early at 1 p.m. for a chance to see solar flares and sun spots through a telescope. There will be a “Make a Shooting Star Craft” at 4 p.m. and dinner in the Driftwood Restaurant starting at 5 p.m.
Guests will learn a little more about astronomy during the “Stars on the Wall” presentation at 7 p.m. After the lecture, head to the Strathbarren Field where LAS members will have several telescopes set up for viewing our “River of Stars” night sky.
