BUCKHORN, Ky. – Green space can reduce stress, lower blood pressure and heart rate.
What better way to help your overall health than at Buckhorn Lake State Park’s “Women’s Wellness” weekend, Oct. 11-13?
Holistic activities including relaxation techniques, exercise programs and dance that can be adapted to all levels, as well as health improvement educational sessions will be offered throughout the weekend.
If you stay overnight in the lodge for $85 per person (based on double occupancy) or $110 (single occupancy), you’ll enjoy two nights’ lodging with activities provided. You can enjoy the activities on Saturday as a daily participant for $50. The park restaurant will be open regular hours the entire weekend.
Throughout the weekend, relax and renew with a facial and / or massage by Cheryl Compton, holistic relaxation therapist, for an extra $35 (for 30 minutes) or $60.00 (for 60 minutes).
On Sunday, Oct. 13, join us for our Second Sunday in October Walk. Donations will be accepted during this walk for Susan G. Komen for the Cure through Kentucky Cancer Program - Hazard-Perry County Coalition. Come renew yourself before the hectic holidays are upon us.
