OLIVE HILL, Ky. – Carter Caves State Resort Park is offering a zipline experience during the weekend of May 4-5 called the Smoky Bridge High Line Ride.

This temporary zipline of more than 200 feet will run across the gorge behind the park lodge. Participants will be strapped in for a memorable ride as you drop more than 40 feet and cruise by the park’s largest natural arch, Smoky Bridge.

Bring cameras for great photo opportunities.

Tickets are $15 a person (one ride per ticket). There are a limited number of tickets and they are on sale at the front desk in the park lodge, or call 1-800-325-0059. Tickets provide a specified day and time for your ride. (There is a weight limit of 250 pounds; however, you must also fit in the harness per manufacturers' safety guidelines.)

Rides will be offered May 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on May 5 from 10 a.m. to noon.

This zipline ride is also offered during Carter Caves’ Winter Adventure Weekend. The equipment for the zipline was funded by the Friends of Carter Caves.
