DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. – If you've always wanted to learn how to paint, Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park has a weekend event for you Feb. 22-24.
Learn the wet-on-wet method of oil painting by creating your very own 16x20 landscape painting. Our instructor, Bonita Mallory, will demonstrate her talents Friday night then instruct the class on Saturday and Sunday.
Fees are $65 for one class and the Friday night program, or $120 for two classes and the Friday night program. There is a maximum of 20 participants per class, so sign up early.
New this year we will be taking registrations online at https://secure.kentucky.gov/formservices/Parks/OPW, as well as by regular mail. Online registration will be available until Feb. 20. For more information, contact Rebecca Clark at firstname.lastname@example.org

The rustic wood and stone Pennyrile Lodge, with 24 rooms, sits serenely on a high cliff overlooking Pennyrile Lake. Open year-round, the park has 12 cottages in the wooded lodge area and on the lake’s shores. The restaurant seats 200, including a private dining room for up to 80. The park also has an 18-hole golf course with a pro shop, riding carts, pull carts and rental clubs. The course is open year-round, weather permitting. The resort is 20 miles northwest of Hopkinsville, on KY 109 North. Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park is approximately 8 miles south of Dawson Springs. Take Exit 92 on Interstate 69.
