FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky Arts Council will offer a workshop for artists interested in marketing their work and learning about the application process for the Kentucky Crafted Program at Kentucky Crafted: The Market.
Registration is open for the workshop, "From Artist to Arts Business," which is free with admission to The Market on March 3. The workshop is from 1-3 p.m.
Registration is limited. The workshop is available to visual or craft artists working in any medium who are just beginning to market their work.
Ed Lawrence, arts marketing director for the arts council, will present basic information for starting a business in Kentucky, establishing a pricing structure and preparing for shows. He will give participants an overview of the Kentucky Crafted Program and how to apply.
This professional development workshop is free with the cost of admission to Kentucky Crafted: The Market. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited.
