FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Third Annual Bicycle Ride to benefit New Beginnings Therapeutic Riding will be April 20 in Bowling Green.
In partnership with Western Kentucky University Recreation Administration, riders can enjoy one of three ride options at lengths of 8, 20 and 44 miles. All routes lead through and around Bowling Green on some of the most scenic roadways in the area.
Registration is required and is available through www.active.com. Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Chaney’s Dairy Barn in Bowling Green, and riding will begin at 8 a.m. Fees are $30 for adults and $15 for those under age 12. All participants must wear a helmet.
New Beginnings Therapeutic Riding in Bowling Green is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities through the power of equine riding and experiences. To learn more about its mission, visit the website at www.nbtr-bg.org.
Wildflower Pilgrimage at Carter Caves
Carter Caves State Resort Park will host its popular Wildflower Pilgrimage Weekend April 19-21.
This weekend event will include a number of fun activities, including guided wildflower walks and hikes, guided canoe trips and van tours. Registration is required for the Wildflower Pilgrimage, and the cost is $15/adult and $10/child.
